Main Reasons for Gig Work

While earning extra money is the most common reason people choose to work a gig, it is far from the only motivation.

More than 60 percent of respondents in a Federal Reserve Board survey fielded from Octover 11 to November 12, 2018, and released in May 2019, gave a different reason for engaging in gig work in the month before the survey.
