Stella & Dot Makes Changes with Gig Workers in Mind
California-based social selling company Stella & Dot revamped its approach to working with brand ambassadors to stay on the cutting edge of the gig economy.
Starting Jan. 3, brand ambassadors can sell products across all three of the company's brands: the fashion brand Stella & Dot, the accessory brand Keep Collective and the beauty brand Ever. Previously, ambassadors represented a single brand. The company also launched a new app, called Mimi, that lets ambassadors curate collections of products and share them with potential customers as shoppable pages.
“Our brands are separate from a consumer perspective, but our true reason for being as a company is to empower the modern woman with the ultimate side gig, so she can untether from [work] hours that just don’t work for her,”
said Jessica Herrin, Stella & Dot CEO and Founder Jessica Herrin told the online fashion and beauty media site Glossy.
